Paper quilling

Today I was walking around Michaels trying to figure out something to do for Brownies tomorrow. I stopped at the Klutz books, because they are fabulous and saw they have a new book called Paper Twirling. Here is my first ever attempt at quilling paper. I was so excited how this turned out that I couldn't even wait for the glue to dry before I scanned it. I'm going to have the girls make flamingos and flowers if we have time. It would also be fun to have them make fancy little frames to put them in, but there's just never enough time!

Ever since I saw this craft I've always wanted to try it. It looks like so much fun, and something that my kids could enjoy. You did a great job! I love the colors and swirls!

I have fond memories of quilling in Girl Scouts! Gets such nice results, and feels very relaxing to do somehow.

Congrats on your first attempt!! It came out so nice. I am, at the moment, trying to learn everything there is about quilling. I am amazed that this was taught in Girl Scouts, since I was a Scout till I graduated from High School, but, never saw this before. Maybe, location,(NY) You have a natural talent here, Keep it up!!!!
