I finally finished it! This is my piece for the Get the Funk Out Challenge. I really enjoy doing embroidery on felt. I love the contrast of the textures. This was inspired by how much I use to hate Valentines Day. So, here I am thinking about how much I hated Valentines Day. I guess now it's ok, since I have someone to share it with

Howdy

Today was cowboy day at school. What cowboy outfit is complete without chaps and a vest? Last night, I was attempting to make things complicated with how to make them, so Hunny Pie came in and saved the day by whipping these up out of my scrap felt. Sometimes that man of mine blows my mind with his hidden talents!

Jamberry

First take the blackberries that you got on a super good sale at Sunflower and rinse them off.

Then mash them up and add sugar and pectin. Last eat it on toast.

Beanstalk

The studio needed a little pizzaz, so I painted this vine up on one of the doors. It's based on an Elsie Cake design. I like the brown against the green.

Random shot

Every now and then, one of the kids will grab the camera and take a random picture of some of the goings on in the house. This one was from today. I'm tempted one day this month to let them each take a turn and spend the day shooting the world through their eyes. I think we'd end up with some amazing pics.

This is a quote by J.M. Barrie. I mad this to give to someone in Relief Society on Sunday. We have to put together a basket that represents something about ourselves. I love stitching and reading, so I thought this was a good combo. I think I may put in some Frida postcards, homemade raisin bread and some bookplates. I could so get carried away on this!
