I love ebay. I've been looking quite some time for wooden spools for an idea I'm working on. Only I wanted the authentic thing and not reproductions from Hobby Lobby. I've been trying for quite some time to win some, only to be outbid time after time. Finally I placed a bid and won 150 wooden spools for $5.50. Apparently they belonged to a little old Grandma in Idaho who had been saving them for a very long time. She passed away recently and her grand daughter came across them and didn't know what to do with them and now they are mine. 10 years ago I never would have guessed that I would have been able to get so excited about wooden spools!
I was thinking I wish they would recycle spools...what point is there to just dump perfectly good spools in the trash? Glad you found these!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with those spools - they give me a great nostalgic feeling, just looking at them! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find. There are so many things I'm searching for now that I would have thought anybody doing so must be crazy 10 years ago. My how we change!!
